Wedding Photographer at Ashdown Park
Wedding Photography at Ashdown Park by Photographer Syman Kaye. The neo-Gothic splendour of the Grade II listed mansion house, a choice of period rooms including a converted chapel, beautifully landscaped grounds, and a lovingly maintained secret garden, all conspire to make Ashdown Park one of the most romantic of wedding venues in Sussex.
The Richard Towneley Suite is a converted chapel with a vaulted hammer beam ceiling and is lit beautifully by stained glass windows. Designed by Harry Clarke, he reputedly used over 30 shades of blue in the windows, bathing the interior in rainbow shades of coloured light, which creates a magical setting that the bride and groom will remember forever.
While the Summer House, which stands in a quiet part of the lawn overlooking the lake, offers an all together different kind of experience which is more informal and relaxed but no less romantic. It’s licensed for civil ceremonies and also makes a charming setting for celebratory refreshments.
Couples are spoilt for choice when it comes to beautiful settings for wedding photographs. Seek out our beautiful Secret Garden, or a shady spot overlooking the lake, backlit by dappled sunshine streaming through the trees of the East Sussex countryside.
Whether you’re celebrating a small intimate wedding in a private room, a larger gathering in one of our banqueting suites, or a spectacular affair with wedding banquet for 150 guests, at Ashdown Park you’ll find the perfect Sussex wedding venue.
Let our wedding co-ordinators help you with menus, flowers, entertainment, whatever you need to make the day extra special. From wedding packages to bespoke arrangements, we can take care of everything for you. All wedding photography on this page is by photographer Syman Kaye.
Civil Partnerships
Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club has been granted a license to host civil
partnerships along with civil ceremonies in a range of stunning suites and venues from the respectfully converted chapel to the enchanting summerhouse overlooking the lake and lawns.
Whilst the Civil Partnership Act does not require a ceremony as part of the registration procedure, we can put you in touch with our Registrar enabling you to arrange a ceremony that will be meaningful for you.
This will need to be witnessed by at least two other people. Alternatively, we are able to arrange an outstanding reception, in addition to the registration procedure, within the magical settings of our grounds.
Please note that by law the ceremony civil partnership registration is an entirely secular process and the Civil Partnership Act prevents any religious service taking place during the statutory steps leading to the formation of a civil partnership.
Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast arrangements are available for a minimum of 10 guests and a maximum of 150. Please contact the hotel direct to discuss any specific requirements you may have.
